Sandra studied law at Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education in Mexico City. Her work at OLIVARES is focused on the enforcement of the IP rights of our clients. She is a member of the Anti-Counterfeit/Piracy department, crafting strategies to combat the illegal importation, distribution and commercialization of counterfeit
products or pirated works. Her areas of practice comprise filing actions before the Attorney General’s Office (“PGR”), the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (“IMPI”), the Federal Commission for Protection against Sanitary Risks (“COFEPRIS”), and the Courts of law, such as the Federal Court of Administrative Affairs, the Federal District Courts and the Federal Circuit Courts, as well as interaction with Customs in our Country.
Her experience at the Anti-Counterfeit/Piracy department includes different industries, such as the pharmaceutical sector, electronic products, software, media and entertainment, among others, offline and online.
