Eduardo Arana joined OLIVARES in 2017. Currently, he is a member of the Litigation and Anti-Piracy, Anti-Counterfeiting & Enforcement teams, focusing his practice in the defense of the rights of trademarks and patents of our clients, highlighting the administrative procedures of infringement, nullity and cancelation before the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property and subsequent instances.
Eduardo has also participated in nullity trials before the Federal Court of Administrative Affairs (FCA) and “Amparo” Lawsuits before District Courts and Collegiate Circuit Courts, related to the defense of the Linking System, DPE rights (regulatory data protection submitted to the regulatory agency) and other regulatory aspects.
Likewise, he is involved in various lawsuits against the National Institute of Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data (INAI), focused on defending and protecting the personal data and confidential information of our clients when the INAI, with its resolutions, orders to disclose confidential information.
Also, Eduardo participates in civil litigation, focused on the claim of compensation for damages caused by third parties infringing the intellectual property rights of our clients.
