José Luis Salgado has over 10 years of experience. His professional practice has been focused on managing and conducting all ranges of patent services, such as patent drafting, filing, patent prosecution and maintenance thereof including domestic, divisional, PCT, patentability searches, patent drawings, and patentability analysis. His work also comprises drafting technical patentability opinions, drafting of technical opinion regarding non‐invasiveness, patentability and litigation; responding to official actions and communications with clients; and drafting and recordal of assignment documents as well. His practice supports patent prosecution mainly in the areas of civil engineering, electrical and mechanical engineering.

When I’m not being a lawyer…
My personal interest within the Intellectual Property practice is to become partner in one of the best bureaus in the country or having my own office in order to provide a closer attention to the clients. As a hobby I want to improve my skills in gourmet cooking, and if it is possible, in the future I would like to own a small luxury restaurant.
