Moisés joined OLIVARES in April 2021, where he is part of the Entertainment and Copyright team led by Luis C. Schmidt. His work is advising clients in the preparation, review, and negotiation of contracts and licenses related to the entertainment industry. In addition to the area of contracts, his practice focuses on the analysis and preparation of legal opinions related to the protection of copyrights through strategies that allow the defense of the same and avoid violations of the rights of third parties. Likewise, he constantly supports the preparation of newsletters and articles with topics of interest in the area.
In the same way, he is part of the litigation team led by Daniel Sánchez y Béjar, dealing with trademark and patent matters before the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property and the Specialized Court for Intellectual Property of the Federal Court of Administrative Affairs. Likewise, he attends administrative procedures of regulatory issues mainly related to the brewing and food and non-alcoholic beverages industries before the Federal and Local Administrative Authorities, as well as before the Specialized Environmental and Regulation Chamber of the Federal Court of Administrative Affairs. His matters are mainly nullity trials, expiration, cancellations, oppositions, infringement procedures, review and claim resources, the offering of statements and evidence in administrative procedures, direct and indirect “amparos”, among other things.
He is also part of the patents legal team, led by Sergio Olivares and Daniel Sánchez y Béjar, analyzing and advising clients on issues related to the Patent Cooperation Treaty, negotiations of co-ownership agreements, among other things.
When I’m not being a lawyer…
In my free time, I usually exercise at the gym, practice box and play soccer, practice wakeboard, surf, ski, I like to read, listen to music, walk my dogs, spend time with my friends and close people, as well as travel and see new places. I consider myself a diving fan.
